JUNIOR ACADEMY of JACKSON SELECT

The Junior Academy is the second level of the Jackson Select development program with a goal to prepare for Jackson Select level of play. Academy players will be introduced to positions and small-sided games. There are increased sessions with more advanced level skills training and brief tactical training. Each weekend, the players will be split up into teams and play simulated matches. Jackson Select Coaches will run the training sessions and games while our top Pre-Academy coaches will assist.

WHO FOR?

Boys 1st and 2nd graders. *Advanced Kindergarten Boys accepted with references only. Contact Jr Academy adminstration for approval.

*ADVANCED means the player has been in the Little Kickers program for a couple of seasons,  performed well with instruction and attention, and has demonstrated  skills taught in the little kickers program. If your son/daughter is still a bit timid at the Little Kickers' level, they may not be ready for Jr Academy.

Saturday morning sessions will start at 9:00am at Strausser Elementary.

Wednesday evening sessions will start at 6:30pm at North Park in Jackson.

PROGRAM INFORMATION

Teams will train for the first few sessions. When the games begin, teams will train to begin the session, and the game will follow. Skills will be the main emphasis. Positions and beginning tactics will be introduced.
