TRYOUT INFORMATION: 
Jackson Select Gold Tryout information: 

Tuesday, June 10th at the Stuhldreher soccer fields. Please be informed on the tryout process. If you are unsure which age group you are trying out for, click here for the age chart. If you cannot make tryouts, you must inform the coaching director prior to tryouts. Your spring evaluation will be used for placement.

5:30 - 6:30pm: All players wishing to tryout out for '00 and '99 Gold teams (U9 and U10).

6:30 - 7:30pm: All players wishing to tryout for '97, '96 Gold teams (U11-U12).

7:30 - 8:30pm: All players wishing to tryout for '96 and '95 Gold teams (U13-U14).

Jackson Select returning players: All returning players must fill out a player intent form. This form must be returned to your team mom at practice/game by June 1st. Please download the form, read it, and print it out. Click here. 
Jackson Select new player registration: are open to all boys ages 7-14 and to players outside of the Jackson community as well.  Click here for more information.  
Jackson Select Gold Program: JSSC C-1 Division teams will be going by a different name. Gold teams will have tryouts on June 10th. All players must be registered (player intent turned in or attended new player tryouts)  for the fall session in order to participate in the tryouts. All Select Gold participants must be willing to adhere to the commitments and expectations adopted by JSSC. Select Gold tryouts are open to players from communities outside of Jackson as well provided they are registered properly for the fall. Select Gold expectations will be emailed out to all current players and will be available at the tryouts as well. 

 

JSSC roster policies: 

Jackson Select will make every attempt to place all players on a team that registers. Teams will be based on age and evaluations. Select Gold teams will have a higher level of commitment and evaluation process. ( To see age group chart, click here.)

 

Players will tbe contacted by the Select organization regarding team placement. Placement on a team is not guaranteed.  We realize everyone wants their child to be among the best – but that is not always in the best interest of the child.   If your son is not yet at a level where he can compete comfortably with the other boys his age, we will be honest with you.  Nothing is more discouraging to a child than always having to try to keep up with the others and knowing he is not able.  It is not fair to him or to his team. If a players is not rostered on a team, the deposit will be fully refunded.

 

Player fees are due at the beginning of each spring and fall session.  Tournament fees are extra.  Indoor sessions and other training opportunities, such as footskills, are available. Uniforms are an additional cost and must be ordered through the JSSC.

Jackson Select is proud to offer beginner and advanced training to the area with a quality coaching staff. Jackson Select serves as the main feeder program to one of  the state's elite boys' soccer program at Jackson High School.
