Jackson Select Soccer Club

The Jackson Select Coaching staff is one of the best around! The lead coaches in the program are all National Certified coaches with extensive coaching and playing experience. The program utilizes more of an academy approach to training allowing our coaches to work with more than one team at practice sessions and games. The goal is to develop the technical and tactical skills necessary to prepare JSSC players for high school soccer and beyond!
Michael Biros Director of Coaching Director of Instruction Jackson Boys Varsity Coach	Coach Biros has been the head coach at Jackson for seven years. He has lead the Polar Bears to a 86-34-13 record with 5 Federal League Championships, 2 District Championships, 1 Regional Championship, and a State Final Appearance in 2007. He has been named Federal League coach of the year four times, Stark County coach of the year three times, and the Greater Akron District coach of the year three times. Biros is also the Director of Coaching and Instruction for the Jackson Select Soccer Club. He has been instrumental for the dramatic increase in participation and success at JSSC over the past couple of seasons. He also coached for seven years at Norton and moved the Panthers to one of the top Div II teams in Akron. He also served as coaching director to Diamond Soccer Club and ACP premier soccer clubs in the Canton area back in the 90's. Biros currently holds a USSF National Coaching License. Biros was a 4-time 1st Team All-Conference and 3-time Region All-American selection at Hiram College. He briefly played professionally in Columbus after college, but moved on to teaching and coaching.
John Gonzalez JSSC Asst Director of Instruction Jackson Boys Varsity Coach	Coach Gonzalez has been an assistant in Jackson for the past five seasons. He has been a key development coach at the middle grades. He was also a standout player at Malone and Walsh University. Gonzalez currently holds a National Youth Coaching License.
Marquis Walker Malone College Head Coach Lead Coach U13-14	Coach Walker is the head coach of the Malone College men's soccer team. He has been instrumental in the turnaround of his alma mater. He is also our lead coach of the middle school teams as they prepare to move on to the high school program. Walker currently holds a NSCAA Advanced National Coaching Diploma.
Patrick Svihlik Walsh University Asst. Coach	Coach Svihlik is the assistant coach at Walsh College men's soccer team. He formerly played at Walsh as well. He is currently working with the developmental teams and instruction programs.
Jim Anderson JSSC Program Director	Coach Anderson has been the Director of JSSC for the past six years. He has also coached JSSC teams for several years as well. Anderson is an integral part of the growth and success of Jackson Select during his tenure. He has been an executive board member of the GAASA, which is the largest youth soccer league in the state, for several years as well. He is also one of the top soccer officials in the state. Anderson was the head coach at Glen Oak prior to JSSC and holds a USSF National Youth Coaching License.
Taylor Ward Lead Coach U9-10	Coach Ward is a graduate of Jackson High School where he was a three year starter. He has been the lead coach of the youth program for the past two years for our 9 and 10 year old teams. He holds a USSF National Youth Coaching License.
Steve Davies JSSC Executive Board/ U12 Coach	Coach Davies is a graduate of Jackson High School and helped win the first ever Federal League Championships for the Polar Bears. He is currently the lead coach for the U12 team and a JSSC executive board member. He holds a USSF National Youth Coaching License.
